About the event
This is not just another book on the runes as you know them. Through numerological investigations, Sigurd Agrell argued that the individual runes corresponds to spiritual and magical concepts from Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Phoenicia, Zoroastrianism and Swedish folk magic, based on their position in the rune alphabet. More exceptionally, he also elaborated on the correspondence between the individual runes, tarot cards, gods and goddesses from Antiquity and deities from the indigenous Sami people.
In this talk, Fredrik Eytzinger will also explore the connection between the zodiac and the abodes of gods and goddesses from the Nordic pagan pantheon along with some examples of how his theory can be regarded a cosmic chronicle.
Fredrik has published several books and articles on topics related to magic, folklore, history and mythology. He is also the founder of the Swedish dark rock band The Other Sun and the dark ambient project Nuclear Spells. He lives on the west coast of Sweden where he works as a video game producer. Fredrik has studied ethnology and history of religions. His current investigations are undertaken as an independent scholar, and he has an interest in Swedish folk magical customs and esoteric applications seen from a global context. In extension these subjects also involve the mythical lore surrounding magical practice, oneiric and astral experiences, and other perspectives on liminality. His first book for Three Hands Press was Solomonic Magical Arts, an English translation of two Swedish books of black magic, published in 2013.
