About the event
Join us for a centennial celebration of H. P. Lovecraft’s legendary cosmic-horror tale, The Call of Cthulhu. Written in the summer of 1926 and first published in Weird Tales in February 1928, the story helped ignite what we now know as the Cthulhu Mythos -an enduring pop-culture force that has shaped generations of horror in literature, film, art, and video games.
To mark 100 years since it was written, we’re hosting a special event on 20 August (Lovecraft’s birthday): a live reading of The Call of Cthulhu by Professor Dave (podcaster David French), accompanied by an eldritch soundscape performance from experimental musician, esoteric artist, and tarot author Ever Orchid.
