Fulgur Press
Founded in 1992 by Robert Shehu-Ansell, the press works with artists, writers and editors who explore ideas of agency and enchantment through scholarship and practice
Re-examining esoteric ideas and taking them into new cultural spaces interests us. We believe these ideas offer a means to reconnect with nature, identity and a sense of meaning in the world today. Over the last 125 years, enquiring artists have explored such ideas with similar aims. Our publishing and events programme celebrates their work and provides the tools for others to develop these ideas further.

Scarlet Imprint
Scarlet Imprint was founded by Peter Grey and Alkistis Dimech with the talismanic publication of 156 copies of The Red Goddess in 2007, with the aim of advancing the practice and study of magic and esotericism for a new generation. They have brought a unique energy and vision to small press occult publishing and book arts, and inspired many others.
The book is a tangible object of power. Our books are designed and typeset in house, and are widely recognised for their aesthetic and artistry. We approach the design as one prepares a talisman; the book must give form to the author’s words and vision with a sensitivity to the numen or tutelary spirit of the work.

Three Hands Press
Three Hands Press, a sister publishing house of Xoanon Publishing, was conceived in Summer 2003 as a joint venture between Andrew Chumbley, Daniel Schulke, and an anonymous third party. Its name refers in part to the threefold actuating force of author, publisher, and the animating spirit of a book. This triune power is the quintessence of the reifying textual force, and aptly glyphs our regard of the Magical Book as sentient manifestations of the Logos.
